Bits, Bobs & Biscuits

I promised a visit to the Old Biscuit Mill's craft market and here it is....
The converted biscuit factory is home to a fantastic collection of arts, craft, fashion and design shops
You can find pretty women's fashion by well-known and local designers

Exquisite men's shirts in delicate florals and bright dotty patterns

The Chance Muse would love one of these for Mr P or failing that wouldn't mind one for herself

Stalls selling old-fashioned children's toys will have to wait for grandchildren or other people's grandchildren...
Briefly tempted by beautiful jewellery - mmm - maybe
Cool cafés

Amazing pottery at Clementina Ceramics and Imiso Ceramics and not forgetting Love Africa, for colourful locally designed jewellery and fashion

The whole area is a fascinating mix of vintage and craft shops

Super Cool couples
Plenty of local colour at the bus stop...
Including these pied-piper-clad minstrels or 'Cape Coons' as they are known
Little bars in side streets emitting hectic amounts of noise quite out of proportion to their size
A huge selection of hand-made indigenous stuff like these lovely cross-stitch and appliqué cushions made by a women's co operative

The fabulous Mü & Me, design studio and shop for Daley Muller who creates cute cards, wrapping paper,  stationery and kids T-shirts
Adorable flowery ceramics by Kate Carlyle of Mustardseed and Moonshine
A fun barber sign clock at Heartworks

Delightful dollies with beaded trim which double as doorstops
Colourful carved couple portrait with dog in fun shades of orange and turquoise

Fantastic beaded chair with animals
A lovely mixed crew of people
Beautiful girls wherever you look
Vintage and shabby chic for Africa at the rustic emporium Karoo Moon Country Store
Lovely homeware ditto
Second-hand silver for first class dinner parties
Pretty jugs and hanging hearts for love and joy
Definitely the prettiest shop in the market. Hard to resist all the lovely stuff...
Tempting turquoise tea-lights and baby camper-van, anyone?
Could succumb to a couple of candlesticks and canvas bags?
Or this must have feather cushion?
Captivating Cape Town illustated poem book?
Perhaps these very laid-back cushions?
Or a trip in this lovely pink Kombi-camper?

The Chance Muse would like to buy everything. But has decided to forgo the urge in favour of collecting and disseminating images instead

Aka Cool Cat holding out
